ELD stands for ELECTRONIC LOAD DETECTOR

All it does is tell the ECU how much electrical load is sees in the automobile. The ECU ever so ever so slightly will change how it does its calculations but not enough to cause this strobing of yours if all it has done is failed.

Im at a loss as to what else it could be. The codes come back as ELD and the Honda Dealer told me thats what it was too. Alt was tested and battery is good.

Should I try swaping out the whole fusebox? I suppose I might try takeing it bakc to stock and see if it changes anything.

MSD ---- is junk anyways...you would be BETTER off with it not installed entirely.

Na still fucin with it to be honest. I redid all my connections for the MSD. I took the intake mani off and checked the trough that the harness runns through on hte back. Checked and re did my O2 sensor. so Im going ot get another ELD and pop it in to see if I fixed the short. the o2 splice job looked like ---- so I hope thats what caused it. I let you know cause Im trying to get that eld here soon.

Most of the time... it's not the actual ELD itself is bad when the code flashes for it.

I wouldn't focus so much on the ELD as I would every wire that touches what you were messing with.

You did get a schematic, right?

well no but only cause the only things I fucked with were the O2 sensor asnd the MSD box. the 2 things that stood out in my mind taht I think caused it were, 1. faulty wiring for O2 sensor and 2. I ran the MSD box for about a day with out cutting those wires on teh side that make it for a 4 banger. I am pretty sure the ELD is bad cause the car surges but ionly after you take it past 2 grand which is right where the ELD is supposed to start doing its job.

To be honest this car is starting to get to me. No one I have talked to has really ever delt with an issue like this, lol and the damn window has fucked up window tracks and a shity window regulator. so the driver side windows goes down once and only once before its off of both tracks and fucked. Finding parts for a 97 is tough.

I don't ever recall seeing a ground wire that ran from the alternator to the battery. You don't have the charge wire hooked to ground do you? I'm not trying to be a dick either.

Never answered another question... did you print off pages from the online manual or did you get a manual w/ electrical diagrams?
If not, go print them out now or call Helms & stop being a virgin flailing around in the dark looking for the hole.

I have dealt w/ this issue a few times before. The thing that sucks is ELD code is WAY too random. It basically says, "You got a problem w/ the wiring in your car... LMFAO" Yea... thanks MR. ELD.

Honda is known for shitty window regulators. What's wrong w/ the window tracks? Has the rubber folded over & is dry? You have to spray your tracks every 4 or so months w/ lubricant to keep your windows healthy. If you don't, then the regulator is pushing dirt & dry rubber... it doesn't like that & after a while basically says, "F you" & you get lackluster performance.

Finding new rubber linings for your window is np... go to the dealer. Eleviate your problem, get new rubber, & THEN... only then... can you cry since putting those in = pita. If it will make you feel better, go to a bigger dealership & talk to someone about your window. There has to be @ least one tech who knows what the deal is.

to be honest I will deal with the window but yall know how it is when things start poping off in clusters, you get frustrated. This car is my bitch and it will remain my bitch fo sure . I am begining to wonder if the O2 sensor I wired in is backwards or not or maybe just FuBARd. to answer your question no I did not use a manuel but my boy helped with the install and he claimed to know what the deal was (He's been a tech for honduh for a few years and boosted a few cars before). so thats basicly a No. I am more than likely goin to throw the injectors and the Chipped ECU I have in the car cause the Chip has the ELD by passed. so by my theroy if the car still surges than I am goign to put my money on a BAD O2 sensor as teh root of all this. I have been told multiple time that the ELD will not fluxuate the Air/Fule that much and right now it will fall on its face so hard the car bucks a little when it riches out (is that a word?)

I think I am zeroign in on a Bad o2. I will post on Sat cause thats when I will be swappign it all out so maybe I'll get some good pics too.
