ive been using an egt but its only good for if your tunning your car the af guage is the better for knowing rich or lean but the wideband o2 is the best. i read that your e.g temps can get high when lean or rich depending on what your a/f is actually at

 

So than instead of spending 300 bucks for some non sens EGT and a/f gauge we should just buy a wideband o2 for 500 bucks and tune our car. I thing that would be the best thing to do to tune your FI car 90% right. Or am i wrong??

 

Yes, a wideband would be the best thing to have. Although I would still use an EGT to make sure the temp is safe. When you are running stoich, the EGT will be the hottest, so if it is tuned to the "T" your motor will be hotter.

Okay, I'm convinced. I was getting ready to get an EGT myself but I'm gonna start my reserach on a wideband O2. Any clue where to start? Any decent manufacturers?
