ECU throghing CEL - P1106 WTF???
It seems like the problems keep coming and coming. For the past month my D16y8 has had the a CEL... Ive just been lazy and have tryed to fix it till now. I installed my VAFC, 450s, o2 simulator, and gutted my catty all in the same day. I took it for a test run up and down the street and the car pulled hard a 8psi. I then started driving around and about 30 mins after that first test run a CEL came up. I figured I wired the 02 sim wrong and thats why it took a while for the CEL to pop up. I went ahead and checked conections and rewired the sim from the o2 sensor itself to the actuall harness like the instructions said. every thing ran fine... for about 20 mins and again w/ the CEL. I started thinking it was my VAFC wireing and then checked that. I originally hadnt hooked up the VTM wire but found where it went on the Y8 ECU and cut and hooked up that blue wire. I reset the ECU and Im still getting a CEL. In the past 2 weeks the car has started back firering when I realease throttle and my idle is really rough but my afc is set to -40 at 1000 RPMs and it still reads rich at times.
I finally took the car to autozone to get the computer scaned and it pulled up code P1106 (MAP sensor circuit intermittent high voltage/ dual alternator low, problem w/ air/fuel correction/maps) . What the ---- does this mean Obviously its a voltage prob but...? Im really ------- stuck. The guy told me it was a bad MAP sensor tried selling me one. Im pretty sure thats not it. NE one had this prob or NE ideas out there. If I can get my hands on a ------- multi-meter/voltometer it'ld make this easier to figure out.

NE sugestions on setting? Im using almost the same afc settings as thermal99 from thermal99.com(1000-5000= -38 & 5500-8500= -37) . He also has a Y8 and hes runnin fine....

Could my MAP be reading the boost? Wouldnt the afc hack scratch this. Could my O2 sim be causing this? I thought only the primary o2 is used in mixing air/fuel

I just jumped my service check connector and my CEL flashed 13. I finally found my haynes manual and checked it out. Damn, those ***** at Autozone gave me bad info again. My manual says its the Barometric pressure (BARO) Sensor. Cool I thought, easy fix. WRONG, the sensor is built into the ECU/PCM. What now, does this mean my ECUs bad. Do I need a new ECU? If I had the cash for a z6 ECU and conversion harness Id just convert to OBD1 but I dont. Plus I also gotta rebuild or buy a new turbo. AAAARRRRGGHHHH!!!! My car is running shittier by the day. Im starting to hear a low popping sound after a realease the throttle and shift. Also my car dosnt start picking up speed till around 5000 RPMs. Oh and the car sumtimes bucks when I release the throtle peadle and then press it at low RPMs. NE 1 wanna tackle this prob?

you only have 1 o2 sim right? well if the diffrence is enough between both o2's it will throw weird codes. the easiest thing is just to use the stock O2. if not go to OBD 1.
