Default Dual boost level settings

I want to run about 9 psi daily, and 12-14 psi at the track, and maybe ocasionally when I need to dish out a whupin'. I'm planning on boosting a stock a6, it would be a daily driver, on pump gas, and I'm planning on using turbo edit. How can TE carry two boost maps? Would it take care of management when it senses a boost increase? And yeah I searched and couldn't find what I'm looking for.

You dont need two maps. You would just move your operating point to the farther right columns (12-14psi) on the TE maps. You would only need to have two maps when you change the volumetric efficiency or run a different gas etc.

Also, stock MAP sensor only goes to ~10psi so you need a 2 or 3 bar MAP sensor.

So basically what he's saying is get your car tuned for 14psi and you can run anything less than that.

So at lower boost you can set it atomatically runs at a lower map?

the boost map is from 0-xxx psi...you are running a lower psi (at some point) even when your MAX psi is 14...get it?

you still have to go by 8 psi to get to 14psi, so you if you just lower your max PSI (with wastegate or boost controller), you are already tuned at that point

Oh I think I see. Sorry I don't know too much about tuning ecus. So there's separate maps for boost, and na?

well sorta...thats kinda technical though

just think of it all as one map really for fuel and one for ignition
