Default DSM Injectors not compatible with Honda ECUs..

I was reading up on DSM injectors in Hondas.. and I found this on Honda-tech.

Posted by Hondata:
DSM 450cc injectors will not work with the Honda ECU - the electrical characteristics of the injector are not suited to the ECU, resistor box or no resistor box.

If you use DSM 450cc injectors you will find the engine difficult to start, and the engine running lean at part thottle, plus tuning is very difficult.

It's been discussed on Honda-tech but no one could really answer why some people are having cold starting problems with DSMs, or how to resolve it. So I wanted to post it here to see if anyone has any info to resolve the cold starting issue or more info on this? Also how bad is it to crank your engine for ~3secs before it starts?? Post up if your car hesitates to start when it's cold or any other info you have.

i dunno about all of that stuff you mentioned.

but cranking your engine to try and start it for 3 seconds everytime you start it will probably wear on the starter. but maybe not who knows

Zero problems here.

I have the Honda injector driver data sheets, two sets of 450cc injectors, and OBD0/OBD1/OBD2 240cc injectors to play with, so I can figure out wtf is going on if one of the sets of DSM 450's is problematic. They are both blue tops, FWIW.
