i'm sure blowing your engine to pieces is a lot easier than chipping an ecu so knock yourself out there
Agreed...

I'd like to see these horror stories you speak of...

are you sure you're not advancing the timing instead of retarding it?

there are 2 guys where i live that have blew up their motors in the last couple of months, one was use'n uber and the other turbo edit i think.i have seen lots more with 450's and a hack than chipped, and they made good power that way too, so to each his own!!! i also had no problems until i put the z6 head on, and ran as much as 15psi with my ghetto technology.

that's b/c of the tuning, not the program itself, if you know how to use it properly, it is way more capable than the hack! and yeah, don't listen to the j'villve 'racers', YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSE TO RUN A MISSING LINK WITH AN AFC!!!!!!!! those guys swear by it, i don't understand, i can't even talk to half of those guys without getting pissed b/c they are so close minded and think they know everything. if they knew everything, they would be chipping ecu's and learning the software instead of using the primitive hack where all you do is push a button up or down

the afc can't work properly with a missing link b/c it works off of the voltage it sees from the map, it alters it and feeds it back to the ecu to control the injectors accordingly, if you alter the voltage before it gets to the ecu by not allowing the map to see the pressure, then it just screws everything up basically.
