d16z6 chiping problems
hey ive got a chiped z6 with a ihi-rhb5 on 12 psi
ive put a on off switch on the j1 so i could turn it on or of whenever i want to well the thing is that wen i turn on the switch (beerbongs bin) the cel dosent go and the car starts to hav starting problems and when i start the car it only goes up 4krpm and cuts out looks like limp mode and then when i turn of the switch the car starts properly and the rpm goes to the limiter so y does the cel dosent go and y is there the 4k cut off bad chiping? bad bin? plz help thanx |
Re: d16z6 chiping problems
Either bad chipping or bad bin or bad chip.
If you switch it so J1 is cut and your car runs fine, this means your are using your stock injectors. Better upgrade those before you blow your engine. |
Re: d16z6 chiping problems
No way it could be a bad bin! :P

ah, like a solid CEL, in that case bad burn for sure, or bad chipping.

Re: d16z6 chiping problems
beerbongs bin has been used by alot of people, its not the problem. you either got a bad solder at the ecu, or you are using a williams burner and didnt set it up right. is this the first time you have burned a chip??? just curious, the first few i did i didnt set the ID of the chip right and kept getting solid CEL's. i would it w/out the switch, b/cause you wont be able to run the stock maps on the bigger injectors anyways.

Re: d16z6 chiping problems
Switching J1 while the ecu is powered will throw the car into limp mode. Turn it off first. |
