CRX turbo problems

CRX turbo problems
hi guys
got my turbo up and running with SAFC and standard injectors, the problem im finding is that the engine is refusing to rev over 4k although its restricted or something, anyone had simular problems? it could be lack of fuel (fuel psi set to 40) but im doubting this, any help would be great. its a D series honda. Also where do i take the feed for the boost gauge? vacuum source off the top of the fuel reg or top of the BOV? thanks

i'll try that, at the moment it has standard injectors set to no change with the SAFC (like a standard ECU), i shall put the 390cc injectors in and put the SAFC to about -20%. Do you connect a hose from the top of the BOV into the FPR vacuum source also?

Yeah, your bov vacuum source can be the FPR line also. And do the 390cc injectors require resistors? I'm not sure so I just want to check with you before you try to run them. I don't think the ignition not being retarded is the problem. I would definately retard it at the distributor sometime though just to be safe.
You don't want to run lean... so even if you get that thing dead rich, it would be a better start than running that thing lean and blowing an engine. Have you got any guages to see whats going on? To me it sounds like your injectors aren't supplying enough fuel at higher rpm's when the turbo is spooling up.

I would have A/F ratio gauge but i have no o2 sensor on my car (may put one in at a later stage) so at the mo all i have is boost gauge and and fuel pressure gauge...
I have just posted a question about the 390cc injectors and the resistor box so i'll just wait and see bout that. Other than that i'll run it richer and see what results i get

what car/engine do you have that dosent have an o2 sensor? those a/f gagues are crap they really dont tell you anything, i would sell it and buy a boost gauge, oil pressure gauge, egt or save for a wideband.
