chipping troubleshooting

Default chipping troubleshooting

i just installed a socket into my pm6 ecu and put the stock chip into it and now my check engine light is on and it won't go over 3,500 rpm,i was just wondering if its done or if i can fix it,thanks for any help

he said it was a stock chip.
maybe you put the chip in backwards?

well if it went in backwards the chip is toast


youmost likely ripped a trace and burnt the board. This is not good

i put the chip in the same way it came out and i made sure none of the solder joints were touching,i was making sure it was junk,thanks for the help

sometimes when removing the stock chip you can overheat it and make it useless.

get a known good chip before you determine the ECU is fuxored
