Chiped PM6 Solid CEL and dim LED on ECU

I have a PM6 ECU thats chiped and I burned a new program today with Moates Flash&Burn on my BURN1 burner. Go out to the Civic and take out the chip that was supplied with the ECU and put in ours and the car has a solid CEL and it won't start. The code light on the ECU is lit but its dim (doesn't seem to be as bright as it should be) so I put the chip that was supplied back in and its doing the same thing. Anyone have any ideas? Did we somehow fry the ECU?

First reset the ecu to get ride of the solid CEL, and try again the chip supplied.
Try to burn another chip and make sure that the burning process was succefull and also checking the content of the chip. I usually get a solid CEL when my chip isn't burned right.
Hope this help.

In Flash&Burn I verfiy the chip with the buffer. I also unplug the ECU when I was swaping chips so it should automaticly reset its self.

make sure you have the chip in the right way.

the U shaped cutout that indicates the side with pin 1 should point towards the center of the ecu

check your soldering and make sure you dont have any cold solders

So in the burner you put the arror (or the U shaped notch) toward the handle and in the ECU you put it away from the handle?

BTW: I reburtned a chip and put it in my Integra and put it in the way that the previous post said to and it runs (Runs strong too!)

don't know about the burner, but for the ecu, it doesn't matter which way your socket is, it is essentially just an extension. the chip HAS to line up the way the old one did. like I said, U shaped thing to the middle.

Thanks for the help guys. We had the chip in the ECU the wrong way. :-[ Works fine now.
