Ok, I have been looking around for a cheap wideband display and I cant find any.

I researched a little and I have found a couple of people using voltmeters for widebands besides the JAW.
The problem with digital voltmeters is that they only update 2-3 per second which is too slow.

I have a LC-1 that I bought from Xeno. I have a LABTOP but im gonna leave the o2 in for permanent install and I want something just to keep a eye on things.
So heres the real question can I use a analog voltmeter with the lc-1?

You can also use a turbo timer, i read somewhere that multimeters respond slowly. Its on here somewhere that the turbo timer was exactly with the lc-1 showing with a labtop. what ever you use, its only for a reference but not for tuning. Gauges really aren't that expensive, probably the time and parts it will be 60 bucks.

 

Iv been reading more on the subject and it seems the lc-1s analog out put is 0v=7.35afr 5v=22.39afr.
That makes everything a pain in the ***.

if those settings won't work for you, you can reprogram them.

 

Oh yeah.... you need to change the voltages the way you want it, it has two separate outputs. When i had my afc with my P2t obd2 ecu i programmed the lc1 to lie to the ecu's O2 sensor input so that it wouldn't throw check engine lights and so that the ecu wouldn't try to lean out my rich mixture. Now both outs the same voltage because i converted to obd1 so that i can datalog and my wideband gauge that i bought with the lc1.

 

IIRC, you'll have to rescale the LC-1 at the top because honda ECUs will clip the voltage reading to 3.5 or so.

 

The O-Meter has sooooooo much more functionality than most guys know.

Peak Displays, Contrast adjustment....etc.
