B18B1 with turbo. SAFC2 for fuel management. The car ran fine before I took it down and added a wideband O2 sensor, and EGT gauges. Now as soon as I crank it, 5 seconds later the CEL comes on and stays on.

I didn't change any wiring from the SAFC2. With the CEL on, when I let off the throttle the engine immediately runs lean until I put my foot back on the gass. Also when I try holding it at a constant RPM, it bogs down and then comes back. When it bogs it runs lean for a second until the RPMs come back up. Car revs and drives fine, just the damn CEL.

pull the code and see what's wrong. When you added a wideband, did you disconnect your factory o2? or did you just tap another bung?

 

i have the same problem and im not boosted

when u floor it it bogs for 2 seconds and comes back but only does this once every startup
afterwards u can floor it as often as u want right?

 

found the problem, the code was a faulty coolant temp sensor. It gave me the cell because I tried tapping into the line with my VDO temp gauge. Problem solved. Thanks.
