Car won't rev past 4000 rpm with SMC controller
I installed dsm 450's on my 89 CRX hf. For management I'm using the SMC controller. I put it all in and took it for a drive. It was running fine untill I took it up to 4k rpms. It just completely lost power. It's all fine untill then, but at 4k, it's just pissed off. It's like hitting a wall basically, it's like completly letting off the gas. I went home and checked my settings and theyre the same as the ones on the engine management faq:
1000 - 40%
1500 - 40%
2000 - 39%
3000 - 38%
4000 - 37%
5000 - 35%
6000 - 34%
7000 - 34%
8000 - 34%
Is there something im missing? Should I try changing my settings to something besides that? If so, what do I need?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

i think your ecu saw more than 11psi which is max with a vafc and the ecu is in limp mode. happened to me once on an off ramp and i had to pop the hood up while at a stop light and reset the ecu by disconnecting the negative battery cable for 15 seconds then reconnecting it. try resetting your ecu and lowering boost.

Re:Car won't rev past 4000 rpm with SMC controller
I'm running the dsm 450's for injectors, i have no missing link or check valves installed.
Also, I know that my isn't in limp mode from boost but it could be from something else. I know this because of 2 things.
First: i'm running SMC controller, not vfac. The smc controller doesn't have a max boost setting.
Second: My car hasn't seen boost yet. I put the injectors on and tried them out N/A. Then, today i finished my turbo install besides the charge piping, so i was revving it up without any boost going into it and it still isn't going past 4k.
I read on here that you didn't need boost for the injectors/settings to work. Am i mistaken?
Anywho, tomorrow, when it's not pitch black outside i'll try resetting the ecu (will I lose my settings?) and i'll tell you all how it goes.
Any other ideas would be great. Thanks.

Reset the ECU by removing the underhood ECU fuse.
Maybe one of your settings is off.
Recheck your wiring....reset the SMC and double check your settings.
You sure the ECU isnt blinking at all?
