Take your meter and go at the end you cut off. Line up the pins off the pin out linked to. That will tell you waht pin goes where. Then ohm till you find the wire that goes with that pin. Then you will know which wires will work.
Mine was like:
white is ground to pin 1 ( mine has no sheilding)
red is RX to pin 2
blue is TX to pin 4
Mine was like:
white is ground to pin 1 ( mine has no sheilding)

blue is TX to pin 4

Worst comes to worst. Pry the USB end apart and look at the board. Its labled. Once you are set, plug it into your computer, load drivers, Twist RX and TX together, start Hyperterminal in windows. Choose the port that your cable is on. You should be able to type and it should show up on the screen. If it does it works.

i had the same cable and never got it working. i bought the xenocron cable and it worked right away. no trying different drivers or anything. it just worked

try using the left over wure that u have(black) to tx

I see the ones at Radio Shack all the time. They are $20. You can buy any cable that has the black box. The TX, RX, and GR wires colors are usually different for each phone though. Easy enough to find each with a diode and hyper terminal.
I still think it is better to buy the cable from Xenocron though. For $10 more and it's easier to work with.
