Default binhacker

I just went on to the zdyne site and they let you download the binhacker.exe. Surely this is dangerous as people could just reverse engineer the program and the roms that it gives you?

not sure i understand why they give it away, anyone care to explain

i think everyone puts a copy of there program out there for people to poke at so they get an understanding of how the program works before throwing shitloads of money at them... like i downloaded a demo copy of AEM EMS when it came out, think i DLed a copy of Hondata...

They don't put the ROMs on there.

The .zdy files are not ROMs, but mere binary files of parameters the ROM contains including fuel and ignition values, Rev Limits, and other such blah.

To get the ROM, you would have to take the chip off of the board, and read it, then disassemble it provided it doesn't have proprietary opcodes like the stock Honda one.

Zdyne probably things anyone willing to go through all of that trouble can have it.
