Probably because its their livelihood or close approximation. I never guessed that people would share who tuned cars for money...although I can imagine a lot of them who really dont know what they are doing take these and use them for their own gain.

I see pretty big differences in the tunes of nearly identical setups, so that's not a valid reason IMO.

I'd post more/all of mine, but I'm lazy.

was just a question, had been wondering that for awhile now and just thought to ask.

me too. i would hope somebody wouldnt take one of these and run it like its a tune for their car. i just think it would help people get to a tuner a little safer if they had more choices when it came to downloadable bins

I've been running (turboedit) "chris-ZC-450-8.bin" for the last year or two...

It seems to be just fine for me to get my car running and driving around temporarily.

Quite rich at idle and low rpm, but not a single hint of detonation in boost, I run 5psi on a t2 turbo, but I've had it to 10-12psi and no problems there either.

Great resource!!

I had previously been running the hack from 2001-2007 and when I got a basemap tune, it was like night and day difference, no surging coming out of vacuum and such a smoother boost climb and not flooding the car with gas.

I dynod at 170whp with the hack and I bet I gained easily 20whp from this basemap tune.

Now I just need to learn how to tune and do a street tune on my car next summer when I install the hard pipes.
