base map for pm6?
would this be a good base boost map for d16a6,
I'm using turboedit, pgmfi-NG26.bin for the turbo edit site, then import the map for pgmfi.org from blundar called fowee3.exp run D16a6 with T25, 8psi, Intercooled w/ 450cc inject. blundar was t3, 10psi, intercooled w/ 450cc inject. let me know your opinion if you know what i'm talking about Geoff |
Re:base map for pm6?
That should be a nice base map for you.. you might retard the ignition map a little.. I believe he was running some toulene when tuning that..
Anyway, ya, should be a nice map for you. Will run a smidge rich because of the cfm differences of the T25 to the T3, but ya.. good map. :D |
Re:base map for pm6?
I have been playing with the map a little bit try to get to understand on everything works... So i should just retard a little more? Do you also think i should lean a little more on the boost side or just leave it?

Re:base map for pm6?
I wouldn't touch the fuel side.. if anything you'll run rich, which is better than running lean. You can tune it from there.

Re:base map for pm6?
ok, well any suggestions on how much to retard the ignition?
|
Re:base map for pm6?
IT's probably already got a retard on it.. Dave is a big fan of the step-retard...
To be safe, I would probably throw a -.2 retard on it. |
Re:base map for pm6?
I kind of figured that there would already be a bit of retard to the map already, is it bad to have the ignition to far retarded, or the more the better?
|
Re:base map for pm6?
Just means power loss... more retard, less power, safer. More advanced.. more power.. less safe.
|
Re:base map for pm6?
but when you have the boost factor, does retarding the ignition make it run more off boost, or is that just to a certain extent?
