ALL YOU ECU GUYS....
Recently bought a 92 civic hatchback VX......With an engine swap of a D16z6..Just finished up the turbo kit today and took the ecu to be chipped finding out I actually have a p07 Ecu and a wideband from the VX running my d16z6... He said he wasnt farmiliar with what it would do so we went ahead and chipped the ecu with a p28 bin of a website...Just curious to know if this will work with the car being a d16z6 with a p07 ecu still running the factory wideband for the VX.... Any help or imput will be great....Also if this wont work what can i do

Re: ALL YOU ECU GUYS....
The socketed P07 will run... wierd... and VTEC engagement will be glitchy and laggy. I wouldn't trust it on a turbo engine. The secondary MCU is sending interrupts to the primary that the primary (running off the chip) isn't ready for and just eats critical clock cycles.
You need some other Civic/Integra ECU, either VTEC or converted to VTEC. Then, you need to do the pinout/wiring changes to go from P07 to normal OBD1.
There is no other kind.
