AFC + WB O2 sensor
can i use bigger injectors, afc, WB lambdasensor for my fuelmanagement? D16z2 sohc
or do i need a wideband controller?(zeitronix) and what does this controller actually do? plz help?!! |
Re: AFC + WB O2 sensor
If you use everything you listed, including the wideband controller, that will be fine for fuel management.
It is absolutely pointless to have a WB O2 sensor without the controller, it won't give you any usable data. Most people just buy a kit that includes the controller and sensor. Zeitroniz, PLX, Innovate all carry such kits. |
Re: AFC + WB O2 sensor
i was hoping to not have to buy the controller, and just use a WB o2 sens and a A/f gauge hooked on it. so i can read some a/f data and look @ my rpm. aftherall you can calculate your basic settings for an afc. (the %, like idle with 450cc -38%)

Re: AFC + WB O2 sensor
does this controller have a display? or do i need to hookup my laptop on it?
so basiclly if you have a wbo2 sens+controller, your just a little step away from chipping? so a afc would be a waste of money? |

Re: AFC + WB O2 sensor
ok so lets say if i dont use a WB, but a narrowband + a/f gauge wil this be enough for reading my a/f? and IF its to rich i can adjust some shizzle in my afc?

If that was the case, why the ---- would everybody be spending hundreds of dollars on wideband setups? ::) |
Re: AFC + WB O2 sensor
oh ok i understand now.
but what do i need to change in my afc for settings? if i use 450cc injectors |
Re: AFC + WB O2 sensor
yes you do. -38
|
Re: AFC + WB O2 sensor
so i can just enter -38% and use the formule for every 1krpm +1% (+1) vtec engages?
so this is just the most common setup for the afc + 450cc but then there is no fine tuning, and then u do need a WB+controller + laptop? or you can adjust alittle (not accurate) byu reading the a/f on the gauge pluged on the stock lambda? (still not fine tuning but its a lil) |
Re: AFC + WB O2 sensor
I give up.

Re: AFC + WB O2 sensor
what info do i need from the laptop? i dont understand i guess

Re: AFC + WB O2 sensor
There are different routes you can go, zeitronix has it's own output.
For the Innovate LC-1 you'd need a laptop to setup the slope on the sensor (you have to setup the output) to work with a standard narrowband gauge, or you can by their extremely overpriced gauge, or you can just use a laptop to datalog. You can buy the Innovate LM-1 which comes with a datalogger, you take 45 minutes of data, it has an output on it, then you can analyze it on a home computer if you wish... You can buy an AEM and it has a gauge....it just depends on what you want to do... |
