Default Afc Question

When you just hook up the red/brown/black wire on the afc should the screen and buttons just light up w/no apexi logo or should the apexi logo come up? A friend hooked it up in my car before and thats all that occurred and then I just hooked the stuff up to the battery real quick to see what happened and the same thing happened. Do you think that my afc is screwed up or do you think he just hooked it up wrong(he used speaker wire). Well thanks for the help...

First off last time I checked hooking up the AFC directly to the battery was a no no. Have you read the manual or the best thing would just to call Apexi tech line directly. They'd know for sure whats suppose to happen. and I thought the Brown and balck wire were just grounds.

The ground wires are supposed to be withing 1 cm of each other, I forget which color closer to the ECU. The directions tell all.

I already went thru all this with got teg, but I figured I'd chime in for anybody reading up... the wiring is particular.
