ok well i finally got all my ---- put on the car this weekend...minus the 450cc's.... well I have a VAFC hooked up... giving it a bit more fuel on stock injectors.... anyways... boost is set a a moderate 5psi.. well when the car hits 4psi the CEL comes on.... is the hack only supposed to work when the 450's are on and its set to -38% and ---- or is there something else im not getting right

 

since you are using your stock injectors and giving MORE fuel, not less, you are actually raising your map voltage rather than subtracting it. the hack only works when you take away voltage, not increase it. the way it works is when you take away voltage, the stock map still thinks everything is all good in the hood tiger woods style, cuz it thinks the voltage is normal. if the voltage gets too high, youre basically fucked and get a CEL. thats what i gathered on how the hack works, please correct me if i am wrong.

 

thats correct, ,and that is also why u need larger 450cc injecctor because the ecu will give less fuel when u -% but the larger injectors make up the difference.

 

I talked to a DSM guy and he said that since honda's have a MAP sensor and not a Hot wire Mass Air Flow Meter; the SAFC can't adjust fuel enough on Hondas like it does on cars with a MAFM.

I think he's right because no matter what fuel pressure I try running the AFC can't lean the injectors out enough. Yes, the AFC does work but seems to only do fine tunning. Remember it is just a hack and is no comparison to a stand alone. I think I am expecting too much from the AFC and not realizing that it is just a HACK.
