Default AFC Hack is BULLSHIT!!!

I don't know what you guys are doing and how you are getting it too work but the friggin AFC Hack sucks ***!!!

Anyone I know who does the AFC Hack is running stock injectors and it idles fine and runs fine. When I tell them my injectors are 450cc they ---- a brick. The car idles like crap and sputters when not under boost. Boost is great but throws CEL's. The AFC works a little but not enough to have a smooth daily driven car.

I have read and tried everything on the forum. I have tried to adjust my fuel pressure and adjust low/high settings on the AFC. CAN YOU SAY RUNNING TOO RICH!!!

I can't even drive the car because in boost it throws a CEL. I don't know if the hack depends on the turbo but I have a big T3/T4B and 8psi throws a CEL.

Throwing CEL's, sputtering running rich, poisonous running rich fumes,...the car runs as if I don't have the AFC hooked up.

Without the AFC, the car will not run right with 450cc injectors. The AFC will allow you to be able to move the car but not a perfect daily driver. Take my advice, go standalone and don't waste your time with the AFC. The AFC is good for a temporary fix...remember just temporary.

Maybe everyone has luck with VAFC's because the high compression ratio burns alot of the rich mixture. All I know is that the AFC is a sucky way of fuel management and want everyone to know the truth.

you seem to be the only one who doesn't 'know the truth' cuz it's like a stock boosted car for the rest of us.

Did you put your IN/OUT settings to six? if you did, then it's wired wrong. BOTTOM LINE.

AFC hack kicks ***, come drive to ct and take a ride in my car!

something is wrong with your setup... i am running 450cc dsm's with a vafc on my NON-TURBO crx. it idles better than before i put them on, no bullshit. you are probably running too rich. on my NA setup, i have it set to -46% all the way across, -43% for idle, and -44% for when vtec kicks in. all i can say is my car runs SMOOTH. like i said, it actually runs BETTER than it did before i put the vafc and 450s, my idle doesn't bounce around anymore. when i finally turbo my car, i am not going to make my settings as rich as everybody else's. everybody has different settings due to their environment(elevation, temperature, etc). also, make sure your connections are SECURE. i had one of my wires keep coming loose for some reason... gonna secure it with electrical tape or something.

maybe e got his setting on +40% and not on -40%
hehehehe
I had sumting similar to tha AFC hack it ran great.

i finished my hack on my soon to be boosted b18b1,obd2, 450cc injector crx and set it to -46% acroos the board and it runs like stock.

Sounds like someone did something wrong. AFC hack is fine as long as it's hooked up right and everything is good.

Sounds like the richness problem I had. Dude.. Make sure you got the right wires for your MAP in/out. Sounds like your MAP is reading boost. Make sure you got the right line. Make sure your sensor settings are right.. Pressure 6 in 6 out.
