AFC hack above 10/12 PSI
I have a b16a 95 civic, with the vafc and all the good ---- that goes along with hack, I'm rebuilding the block with all je and eagle forged part cometic headgasket arp bolts and all. now my turbo super60 with internal wastegate is set at 10 psi. now that I will be having a stronger bottom end, what if I feel like boosting 15psi or more, how would I do that with afc hack since the word is you cant go past 10psi? is there any tricks of the trade?

Re:AFC hack above 10/12 PSI
I know of a few people that have gone well over 10 psi with the hack. I personaly have hit 14 without a cel. I believe it was Joseph who explained to me that the map gets topped off and after I think ~12psi or so it doesn't matter. So the timing map won't change after that and the voltage from the map won't set off a cel. Did that make ANY sense? I know Boosteded9 ran an ungodly amout of boost with the hack and he only got a cel a few times.

Seems like I've heard something to the effect that the pressure isn't the problem - as long as you don't run into the positive fuel settings on the afc (letting the ecu see boost). The problem is that after 11 or so psi you risk damaging the map sensor. You might want to verify this tho.

so what you meant is that if I make to 12psi, there should be a problem going higher, what Gm and german cars have 2/3 bar map sensors? do they have to be turboed?

Re:AFC hack above 10/12 PSI
I've heard of people increasing the base fuel pressure using an adjustable FPR accompanied by a 255 LPH pump, then reconfigure the setting on the AFC. I dont really see how increasing the base pressure would make such a difference. The highest I've heard was 13psi after some dyno tuning. In your case, I would go get a better management system. You are already putting some $$$ on that motor. Might as well get a "real" management unit. Just my 2psi.......

what you have to do is add about 3psi of fuel with the fpr which in turn will make your current afc setting too rich. after you do that you then have to trim out even more fuel with the afc which in turn gives you more "room" for the map not to read positive pressure voltage. if you are going this route i would suggest a dyno tune session.
