afc with ghettodyne?
I'm currently building a setup to run 6-7psi on a rebuild d16a6 with dx transmission(I drive highway everyday) and I was wondering if it would be possible to run a completely stock pm6 si ecu with the 3k revlimiter for launch control and at the same time use the afc for my fuel management?
If it were a "completely stock" ECU, you wouldn't launch conrtol. Not to mention 3000rpm launch is a bit low, and you'd realize it once you drove it with a turbo.
Anyway.. To add launch control, you would need to socket your ECU, and edit EEPROMs program.
But, yes, as far as fuel and ignition tables go, you can leave them untouched and use your AFC to modify your fuel flow.

Turbo is it you or JD thats burning chips for DOHC? I am about to change my tune I think and I havent gotton my burner yet.
I have ran a DX tranny and a DX with the SI final drive. I liked my DX tranny better. All the gears are the same except the final drive.
I wish I found a how-to to tune with ghettodyne then I wouldnt have to pester people lol
Well, Joseph is the one that is publically burning ROMs for people, as I have only been tuning for local people.
If he doens't have time, or something, I could do it for you, but ask him first. He's a great guy, and the work I have seen of his has been solid.
