so this kid wanted me to build him a chiped po6 ecu, which wasent the hard part. trying to figure out what to undo from his old setup is. i am still learning some of this stuff, so i got some questions. so i bult the po6 and for now i am gonna run it off a crome bin from the xenocron bank. my main question is since this car is supposely only running 4psi, is the missing link needed on the map sensor? we already removed the afc anbd the fmu is comming out tomarrow. i am just not sure aboyt the missing link and check valves if any.

besides the xenocron bank, anyone else know where i can find some bins? i havent started palying with tunnig yet, we are looking to find someone local to street tune, but want to make sure the car is set up right first.

 

if your running crome just ad boost tools and tune you dont need a fmu or missing link if you read xenocrons beginers intro to crome page on his website you can get the car running fine i did

pretty simmple

 

i dunno much about tuning, i tired a fuw boosted basemaps from the xenocron bin but none seem to run the car as good as the one chris put on my single cam ecu. so we put the car on the dynojet today and it did 195whp, i am waiting for the guy to email the graphs and ill post them up. when we was at idel the a/f was at 18! but once it started running it droped down to the 14's

 

b20b + 4 psi dose not = 195whp :P

sounds like your wide band is out of wack

 

well, the car will most likely melt down, lol. i think it is pushing way more boost, but like i said, they kid doesnt have a boost gauge. i got the afr reading from the dynojet dyno.

A missing link is to prevent the ECU from seeing boost. Since you're using a chipped ECU you don't want to use a missing link becase you WANT the ECU to read boost.

 

if you dont know ---- about tuning dont tune someone's ---- or take things really slow

 

i dont get it how would someone get into tunning when they dont know ---- how it works fmu missing + crome wtFrizzle
