Default 92 civic probs

i just picked up a 92 eg hatch and its all sorts of wired fucked.Ok its threwing a check engine light but wont let me pull the code. The oil light stays on and when i push the four way button on the lights turn off.turn it off the lights stay on.Also even when i have the keyy all the way off and pulled out the lights still stay on until i pull the ecu clips or take a battery cable off.
What the ---- is wrong with this damn thing.

if you cant check codes by the service connector, ground out D4 on the ECU directly

with those kind of problems i'd really look over your wiring with a fine tooth comb... download the service manual for your car and look at the diagrams and see if anything is off

BTW this belongs in hybrid/tech

I would go the junkyard and get the whole underhood harness and replace it. Just went through the same ---- with an integra. It's a bitch. I also have a 92 hatch and the wiring was haggered. We had to tear apart the harness and wire in important stuff, like the map sensor. I would replace the whole underhood harness and then see where you stand.
