yeah you can use that, but if your looking for decent numbers all motor wise then start over

boosted it will be ok not the best but do able. 1st gen eclipses have like a 7.8 cr so it is possible to make big power on a low cr but it will take longer to spool the turbo and will be slow as ---- off boost

Well the good new's is you can run a ton of boost on crappy gas and still make some good numbers.

Re: 7.5.1 comp ratio

well here is the other problem TIMING...lol...so i just dropped my a6 a full 2 points of cr...so i should double timing correct...it would make sense....the motor only runs on 32-35 degree of timing? so wtf?

Re: 7.5.1 comp ratio

I cant say for sure with your set up, but I have a low compression motor also. I have the timing at stock N/A and run over 17psi with out getting any knock on pump gas.

sounds like cam timing, not ignition. you should of had your block milled like mine. I have 9:1 with my vitaras

Re: 7.5.1 comp ratio

true ,so if i use my adjustable cam gear i should be able to dial in stock ignition with retarding the cam?

Re: 7.5.1 comp ratio

yea, but the proper way to do it is with a degree wheel on the crank. I dont even know how to do it. I had .043" off the block and head. I set mine at 4* advanced.
