ok i was reading other peoples stuff on how to set their fuel input at each rpm range... i see that people that went over -35% threw a cel... Well i turned mine up and up and i got to -30% and nothing still happend.. i got a 95 civic dx with 14b turbo on it.... shouldnt it be doing something.. i dont have my a/f guage in ther yet so i dont know how tis running.. but i hear no pinging or anything so should i leave it or turn it down..?

-30% at what psi? Less than 9-10?

Run your ECU O2 input to the blue wire on your AFC, and you can monitor O2 volts under the sensor check screen. I can't stand an AF gauge... I'm like, "three bars green means precisely WHAT?"

Not that a stock O2 is accurate, but there's a big difference in 0.7 and 0.9 volts, even with how regular O2 output skews with temperature. You want a precise reading, not "three bars" worth of a gay neon color.

This is my air fuel meter. Each Led light has it's own pre-set ratio.

LED Number Description A/F Ratio

1 Very Lean 17.0:1
2 Very Lean 16.0:1
3 Very Lean 15.5:1
4 Very Lean 15.0:1
5 Normally Aspirated and Turbo Cars (Cruise) 14.7:1
6 Normally Aspirated and Turbo Cars (Fast Cruise) 14.6:1
7 Normally Aspirated Cars (Accelerating) 14.5:1
8 Normally Aspirated Cars (Fast Acceleration) 14.2:1
9 Turbo Charged Cars (Fast Acceleration) 13.2:1
10 Normally Aspirated Cars (Very Rich) Turbo Charged Cars (Very Rich) 12.5:1

Stock O2 sensor reads one thing and one thing only - 14.7:1 at 450 mV. Beyond that, results fluctuate wildly depending on EGT readings, individual O2 sensor characteristics, when the last time you got laid was, whether or not it's a blue moon, and if the wind is blowing from a vaguely southwesterly direction.

13.2:1 AF on a turbo Honda is asking for trouble. The run of the mill D and B series likes 12.5:1 AF for maximum power and reliability, and some guys run down to 12.1:1 or so for peace of mind.

You hear a lot of "get a wideband" stuff thrown around, and yeah - they are absolutely wonderful. What, you can't afford one? Man, I understand entirely... and you can tune just fine by reading your plugs. A wideband just keeps you from getting your hands dirty, and is very convenient. Keep the AF meter for a pass/fail indicator and you should be fine.
