310cc Ford probe injector install..
First off This install will not include any resistor's since probe ohms and honda ohms ar the same . I found this out while surFing the web. there was no info on this probe injector install , but one
that i found on this site and not to detailed. but this is my first shot at it. so here it is, i went to the local bone yard and picked up a set of 310cc ford prode GT injectors for $20 your going to need the connectors from the probe to make this work. honda connections won't fit.
First off take your honda injectors out. Remove the fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator. after injectors are out, you need to remove the seals from the intake manifold. and in a second I'm going to explain what to do.
On the left we have a 310cc probe injector and on the right we have a stcok 240cc d16 injector.
Ok for the injector seals.
first off I took a dremal tool and opened up my injector seals that sit in the intake manifold. It's like doing the same thing that you have to do for DSM 450cc injectors. On the left is the 240cc injector with the seal dremaled and made bigger. see how it just pretty much sit's on the honda injector and not snugg at all?
well in this pic is the seal on the 310cc injector, it's on there nice and snug even though it looks like there is a slight gap.. (the dremal sort of got sideways on me,lol)
after all the seals were finally opened to fit the new ford injector i resumed with the process, now your going to need the probe clips to make this work. i clipped off my old honda connections and stripped the wires for the new probe connectors. don't have a pic of all the wire's striped baecause I stripped one at a time.
i've read that it doesn't matter which wire goes to which , but I put the yellow to the yellow and other color to the other color, on all of them, lol. I saudered them on as well and you can do whatever you want, sauder gun was $4-$6 at walmart w/ sauder. Then i put electrical tap around them, and tapped them off. . after this is done to all 4 injectors, you are finally finshed, only thing left to do is to start the CAR! finished product
I noticed that the injectore will be able to move freely, if you turn them side to side while on the fuel rail bolted down, that's with a little pressure to move them, i'm not sure if it's ok since i couldn't find anything on this install and this was my first attempt, but I have found that after getting in my car and trying to start my engine. It took a few turns before it wanted to fire.....but it started and ran decent for the 10 seconds that i had it on, before I realized that I was in the middle of my turbo project and I had not finished tapping my oil pan,so there for IT WASN'T ON<< HOLY ---- I GOTTA GO!! > HOPE THIS HELPED>
