Oh, damn, I guess I took that the wrong way. Thanks for agreeing with me then.

I can also install PHPMyChat on PGMFI, or anything else that runs on y00n1x. If there are any advanced topics ppl want covered or re-explained, mention now so I have a lil time to prep.

I think the class was bit disorganized, but for the first one it was fine. I believe that some ground rules need to be set so only 1 person is speaking at a time. If you have 4-5 different people with different questions/agendas it gets really confusing really quick. I think an irc chat would be a better solution because the ops would have more control over who gets to speak and when and we could whip up a script to queue when there are questions so only one persons question is addressed at a time. At the very least, the ability to voice/devoice people while the presenter is speaking would serve to eliminate a good deal of the confusion/chatter going on.

I say we just use IRC with a damn java IRC client. :-/

This way, server ops can moderate the channel (+m) and open the channel for questions and such. There is no limitation on the amount of users. And the client can be setup to automatically join the channel and server. So all the user would have to do is type in a username, and click "Connect" to join the chat. No software to download, no install, no nothing.

Something similar to what I setup on HomemadeTurbo a long time ago.
