Default 28-pin ZIF Socket

looking for the best place to buy say 20 of em... all of the places i find are about 7 bucks a pice trying to find the best deal

I hate ZIF sockets. They seem easy, and trick, at first. But they oxidize and wear quickly.

Just get regular machine pin sockets for under $12 per, they last forever.

just bought 2 of 28pin machined sockets for $.69 + tax at Fry's Electronics.
If you take care of the chip when taking it out, chip wont get damaged and still comes out fast.

i might just say ---- it and run the dip sockets i mean the best i found was 5 bucks for 1 zif socket and at 69 cents for 2 dip's thats 14 for the cost of one zif

only bad thing is there a pain in the *** to pull the chip... im going to radio shack today to see if they have the lil tool deal to pull em
