Default 255lph pump on the way, should I replace fuel lines and wiring too?

I've heard of running bigger guage wire to supply the fuel pump what size is reccomended, like 12g or is that not big enough? Also I would like to replace the fuel lines to get away from those damn banjo bolts, what AN- size is reccomended, I cant find very much info partaining to this any help would be appreciated, This is in a del sol btw my build thread is in my sig, it will be sleeved over the winter I want to see at least 400whp.

-6 for fuel lines...

8-12 gauge for wiring through a good relay for the fuel pump

Here's a diagram I made.I just used a standard bosch 5 pin relay and 10 gauge wire to the actual battery and the rest 12.The stock 12 volt wire you cut is yellow/green.Make sure you put a fuse somewhere in the wire that runs to the battery.

Mounted.I did the wiring just under the carpet

sweet thanks for the replies, 1 question on pin 86 on the relay it says 12+ (to car) just wire the yellow/green wire to it? oh well its a pretty simple relay I'm sure I can figure it out.

When you cut the yellow/green fuel pump wire in half your going to have 2 sides, to car means the side thats going toward the front of the car goes to pin 86,The side that goes to the fuel pump goes to pin 87

What I did was run #8 wire from the battery to a Radioshack relay 30A with a 30A fuse in the bay. Then #8 to the fuel pump as well as the ground. To trip the relay I just used the stock fuel pump feed wires. Whenever the main relay clicks to power the pump it clicks the new relay too.

Thank you, I bought the relay and the wiring, but I got the wrong strainer or "sock" and it didnt come with a new pigtail like the auction said it would so I ended up not replacing any of the wiring anyway, Once I get the new pigtail and strainer I'll go back in.
