Default 1 wire Vtec in TE. Im lost

So i read up Gimpy accords thread on PGMFI.org and i cant figure it out for the life of me.

I did however understand that the reason he wired it through a relay and change the code in the Hex editor ( something i knwo nothing about ) was because the ECU was fighting it.

My question is that since my car came equipped with A/C and i no longer have it in the car do i just tap in to a pinout on the ECU to activate it? can it be that easy?

if so what bin do i have to use for TE?

If all goes well today ill be installing my Y8 head in the 4 door and i want to get it so that Vtec is running.

any info would be greatly apprciated.

Chris, I did it that way with my 1 wire vtec (PM6, turboedit, NG 55) and my relay just kept clicking constantly after it was supposed to enable vtec. I had to hex edit my .bin file. The way that you have listed, is that for NG60? I still haven't switched to NG60 because every time I have tried, it has FUCKED the .bin up (i'm probably doing it wrong, i'll freely admit that).

Honestly...I havent done it myself personally. Only what I have read and talked to others about on PGMFI.

There might be a bug in NG55, I dont know. I would try using NG60 though...so you can datalog as well.

B3 is the A/C clutch output. You shoule be able to use the relay thats there from the factory or use a brand new automotive relay too. Either or...

Gimpy's format was for a pr4 ecu if i remember right... been a little while since up updated my stuff in that thread. But if you are using a pm6 you'll probably find that Gimpys changes do the CLick click click stuff... I found a different HEX change that worked for me.... its listed towards the end of the pgmfi thread. This work for MY NG60 map in a PM6.

If you are going to use a 2.5bar motorola sensor... you can use my map off Xenocrons site. Its for a 2.5 bar though... if you can figure out how to put it back to 1.8bar... then you could also use it.

1-wire vtec works for me without issue... i'm running radioshack auto relay off the B3 (ac output) and it stays steady with the alternate hex changes.
