The Varley Group, an Australian company, has revealed the evR450, a locally designed and developed all-electric supercar, faster than a Porsche 911 and planned for release in January.

Unveiled here at the Australia Electric Vehicle Conference, the radical scissor-doored super-coupe is claimed to have Tesla Roadster-style performance including 0-60 acceleration in an estimated 3.8 seconds and an electronically limited 124-mph top speed.

The evR450 will have a shorter driving range than the Tesla, at 95 miles in standard form or 185 miles with a range-extension pack comprised of more batteries.
