Default D15B2/Z6 Vitara combo???

Noob here & have found this info very useful. I'm currenly rebuilding my D15b2 block/Z6 head for a cheap/budget boost mini-me but have concerns with the compression #'s.

I'll be running stock rods with Vitara pistons looking for only 180-200 whp on a good tune. Hate to bring up the old shiet but What would my compression be with this set-up?

I used the zealworks compression calculator but don't know if I should be reading the static comp/ratio or effective/comp ratio??

I'm guessing I'll be around 7.2/5:1

If I chose to deck my block, what is the maximum I can deck a D-block?

I'm also guessing that I'll need to deck approximately .125" to bump up my compression to 8.5:1. Does this sound right and should it be done

Purchasing low-cost rods isn't really an option.

Thx in advance for any solid advice.
