i just got a notice in the mail to take my car in. i have a small problem i removed the cat and put in a 2-1/2 pipe from the headers to the back (loud as hell) .and installed some jdm spark plug wires,fpr ,intake,and some smaller mods to the engine you guys think it will pass ? i live in chicago

w/out the cat no. i dont know about the other items (jdm spark plug wires,fpr ,intake) but here in good ol calli you gotta have carb numbers and all that good stuff. i would just go ask a smog place what their guidlines are and go from there...if not...well i dunno. better start finding stock parts or dish out the cash for some "carbed approved" ----...good luck, and have fun

I had a b16 and a turbo on my car with no cat and I gto it to pass, but in ILlinois we don't have any visual inspection. your JDM spark plug wires might pussh you over the edge though those thing totally ---- with your up quark to down quark ratio, which makes your nuetrons way to heavy

Just get some cheap spark plug wires real quick and you should be good, and if u have the car, throw it on
