Default Raced a Porche today

I was coming home tonight about 10 am and It was super foggy and cold outside. I said to my GF, "ooh, what a night for a turbo car". she said, "woud your car break if you drove it? maybe just around the block?" (because of the bad seals on the turbo and the smoke) and I said, "no it would be fine". anyway, i decide to take the car to go get a pack of ciggarettes down the street, i figure the fog was thick enough to mask the smoke (so cops wouldn't pull me over) and it's only a few blocks, I miss my car, so whatever. I get the smokes and come outside and theres these two guys sitting by a porsche 944, I talked to them for a while cause I love that car (stock widebody, pretty curves, it makes me happy). Anyway, I tell him, "hey man, i gotta go, my GF is waiting at home" and I shook his hand and went to my car. On the way to my car he yelled, "hey, you wanna play a little bit?" Who was I to turn that offer down? anyway, I launched really low, cause I am still on my shitty tires with steel braids showing (havn't put the new ones on yet) so he had a good launch on me, I took 1st and 2nd to full throttle, and then third I took to a little over 3/4 (i'm scared of my car blowing up, i know i'm a pansy) and 4th till the race was over. I beat him by a car and a half, maybe 2 cars. Feels nice to beat a porche in a honda, even if it is just a 944.

Cool story sounds like they were nice guys...

Theres a kid up here who parks in my lot with a 944 turbo. We usually end up parking next to one another. I've been wanting to race him for some time now. This spring I'll see if he wants to go to the track if I ever talk to him.

A stock 944? There not very fast with or without a turbo, you can make them quick though. I had a 1974 911 with a 383 stroker chevy v8, That was pretty fast, sold it to buy the house Renegade makes the kit and it acually fits real nice looks like it should be in there!

After seeing just how much of a "pansy" you are with that throttle, I'm guessing the guy ran out of gas during the race, you just didn't notice. haha.
