Default Quaife QTR shorter lock to lock steering ratio on civic manual rack ?'s

I picked up a manual steering rack for a 5th generation civic. Ive heard several complaints that the steering ratio sucks on the manual rack, as it takes several turns lock to lock. Basically, my questions for this are...

what is the stock ratio (how many turns lock to lock on the manual rack)?

the quaife says it changes it up to 25% making the new ratio 3.25 turns LTL. so is it really worth the $240?

Does anyone here have experience with this?

How easy is the installation?

Everything ive found doesnt make me want to spend $240 on this. Ill just swap the rack and be happy. But id like to know more if it makes a big difference.

Thanks again.

it will make a diffrence in how hard it is to turn the wheels when going slower than 15mph If you autocross it might be worth it? maybe? probably not.

yeah i think my power steering rack is 3.25 turns LTL....

so if the manual rack adds another 3/4 of a turn

thats not worth $240 to me.

Thanks.

its not worth it, get a 96+gsr rack and passenger side mounting bracket, same thing 3.25 LTL, stock manual rack in an EG is like 4.25 or something... it will make it hard to turn in a parking lot at slow speeds.. the install of the quaife stuff is a bitch, and you usually end up just messing up your rack if you dont know what you are doing.

I have a Quaife in my car (95 Civic EX) and it was a power steering rack that I ripped the power steering out of and I love the way it turns. I like it much better than my friends stock EX civic. Not sure if that helps ya though.
