network nerds chime in!
alright some im trying to connect to my recently soft-modded xbox through ftp on my pc. i've tried opening ports, i've tried disableing both the firewalls on my pc and the router, and i can't even ping the xbox. there's two possible IP's it could be, and I always try both. if i can ping the xbox, then i can connect to it via FTP
it'll be nice to watch downloaded movies on TV

actually, nevermind. tried something i didn't do last night- changed to DHCP.. seems to work now.
