I cant believe what a ---- hole it has become.I lived there for 21 years!I moved to San Diego 7 years ago.I go back ocassionally couse my brother still lives in the "ghetto" and I cant believe how SAD peoples live there are.I cant believe people live there lives without anny meaning or will to better themselves.
Every one has DUBS and lives in a ------- ---- hole house.My brother swears its not as bad as I say it is but thats why people there dont get ahead or see anny thing wrong with how they live......becouse they have been living that way for generations and they think thats all there is to life.

He says Im a sell out,Mexican yuppy couse I moved out the hood and I like the better thing in life.We both do the same work but I make about 10 dollars more an hour than he does,my house is worth almost tripple what his is,I own 3 cars,and he is 7 years older than me!Every time I go there I cant wait to come back home.I know there are ghettos in every city in the USA but god damm im glad I moved out!!

Some people like to live like that. Don't ask me why? My brother is the same way. He lives in a shithole and lives like a slob. He doesn't have ---- to show for his money. Haha, what's even stranger is he is also an electrician and is 6 years older than me. We have a lot in common.

Now that I think about it, his girlfriend is from LA. She was a hooker out there. Seriously, I won't talk to her. She is the biggest pile of ---- I have ever talked to. ------- pathetic. She is 33 years old and has NOTHING. She has been addicted to speed and who knows what else for the last 15 years. She makes me sick.

You know what though that situation creates a lot of tension between my brother and I and we used to be really close.I hate that he fells that i think Im better than him,and some times i talk about the good things going on in my life and he thinks that Im bragging or rubbing it in his face.Im not like that.I know Im blessed with more thing that most people at my age have but I never rub it in annyones face.

Same here. I haven't talked to my brother in about 3 months. We used to talk all the time. He won't answer the phone and he even missed Thanksgiving. He didn't call my mom or even answer the phone when she tried to call. It's pretty sad. He thinks we are all against him because we care about him and don't want to see him flush his life down the toilet. Hopefuly one day he will wake up and realize what he si doing wrong. I also heard he is very close to getting fired. He has missed a few days and has been slacking off. He bought a car from my sister and was suposed to make payments to her. He made a few, but hasn't made one in over a year. I'll be repo-ing it this weekend for her. He won't answer the phone for her either. Mother ******........

And I thought I was the only one with a disfunctional family .But that sound more like my brother that is 15 years older than me(im the youngest of 5).He only steals from the family....-----!He stole 35 garnd(over 1 year period) frome my sisters buisness account by forgeing my brother in laws name.She feels sorry for him though and he knows it.He knows he would get beat to ---- if he tried scamming anny one other than family .My oldest bro. has a net worth of over 2 mill.Yes my oldest brother is a millionare.He stays away from all of us though...lol

Elizabeth City, NC is the same way. We have a %19.5 poverty rate, but driving around you would think it is way worse than even that.
I hear that, everyone here is practically living in shantys, the only difference I guess is the fact that Eliz. City people can't even afford DUBS, so they buy 14" spinner hubcaps from Walm*rt.

You are absolutely right though, after the people have lived that way for a few generations, it becomes part of their world view, they know of nothing else.
