when i first joined the site it was about axactly what he said. and BDvtec has a point, finding a high performance part for a accord is pretty tough. seems like the only people doing "true" HMT builds with cheap or homemade manifolds and actual parts they get from the junk yard and trying to keep the cost down but still have a fast car seem to be flamed by a bunch of newbs that would rather buy a ebay turbo kit then do any hard work or have to hear somebody say their turbo looks "ghetto". they whole reason behind the site is to build a kit and make power for as cheap as possible. since i have been a member of this site i have build 3 turbo kits for my cars and have never spent over 900 total. the first one was about 500-600 and was still a decent looking kit. you don't need to go out and buy a full race manifold if your only running 10psi just because the guy up the street will make fun of your log mani.
i was actually thinking about the way this site has been going and what it used to be about latley and decided to boost my new car for as cheap as possible but still make good power, well good power for a stock Z6 and 10-12psi. so far i haven't gone over $200 and thats for complete z6 swap, turbo, log mani, dsm bov, old supra intercooler, conversion harness and ecu. just have a few more parts to get and i should be done.

but you have to rememeber build your car for you and not the douche on HT

the reason behind this site was to prove that you can have a fast and reliable car without haveing to buy a greddy or some other rip off kit. it is true that the cheaper you go some of the reliability goes out the window but usually not being a ------ rigging douche usually keeps it reliable

If anything it is a bunch of teenage kids who are messing up the site. They have no desire to buy tools/spent the time etc they just want it cheap. Hmt kits are cheap yes, but this is DIY. That involves you spending a couple hundred bucks on basic tools for your hmt install flux core welder/chop saw/grinder etc. Thats what its about. Its also about being creatitve it be turbo/all motor whatever.
