Not sure why GM is still in trouble. They need to tell the unions to ---- the hell off. Then, everyone will realize, holy ----, we don't have a job anymore, and they will come back to the table and negotiate more in GM's favor, or not as a union at all.

your better off going to a casino.

BUT if you do want to risk it, you should follow their union concessions and see what all they plan on doing to reduce spending and ----, then if it looks like a good deal wait until they are scheduled to announce their new plan to buy the stock, if its good news the stock will probably jump, then sell. you can go look at the stock price before and shortly after the bailout for the auto's was signed, think gm stock went up 2-3 dollars, so if you bought 1000 shares and it goes up a dollar you just made a grand (minus commision and taxes, etc).

you should know that every single research group advises either selling or avoiding that stock right now because its not expected to really move, and for the long term you have to consider your risk vs expense and alot of other ----, personally i'm investing in japan stocks buy buying ETF's, but you could buy stock in toyota and collect dividends until the market recovers, their stock is about 50% what it was this time last year.
