So the argument is that you cannot make 400HP with $2000 or less given that you do everything yourself and the engine is provided.
The engine can range anywhere from a D15 to a B18 its up to you,but it has to be a honda motor.
Please elaborate on your answers as to how you think you can push 400HP with only $2000 put in to any one of these engines.

build it~1000
stolen diesel turbo ~free
metal for manifold, charge piping, exhaust ~150 bucks
i dunno, dsm injectors for 50 bucks
and random other stuff I can't think off 800 bucks.

the main costs i think is turbo, build, injectors, and intercooler, everything else can be fabbed up for cheap.

plus about 100 bucks for dyno time too i might think.

How long does it have to last?

I could make any of those motor make 400hp for a few passes.

i guess a clutch would be needed to hold that power aswell, and axles probly, and maybe injectors bigger then 450cc, but those wouldn't be neede just to make 400hp.

you'd need a big turbo. and they're expensive. rods are 400 pistons are 400 turbo 500-600, manifold, pipes, BOV, fuel management... oil lines ext... misc stuff. big intercooler.

400whp is too much for 4 450cc injectors...

so add the price of injectors from RC ENG couple hundie...
