crx88Si is right, I've done lots of fuel pumps in 4gs, need to drop the tank. The little access plate is just the sending unit.

Just be sure when you do it on a 4g you have less than 1/2 tank of gas, it can be a bitch especially on the ground.

mr. chilton told me that there is a drain plug for the gas tank so you can take all the gas out.

will a fuel pump from a d16z6 (5g civic I'm assuming) work on a 4g civic? a fellow hmt member has offered me his used but in good condition fuel pump for a cheap price, and I would like to know if I can use it.

went to install the walbro i got from a friend today and new fuel filter (70k on original) and it went very easy, but i didn't end up installing afterall. he had it on his 96 gsr, and it looks almost identical with the exception that just between the elec connection and the hose that conncets on the top were two little metal indentions (looked like where the plug might have extensions?) didn't want to chance it until i can verify that leaving them exposed won't be bad. didn't want to chance it just in case.
