Re:Computer geek needed
My users have learned not to ---- their computers up cause they know how I fix them. Cant wait, getting ready to put all the computers on XP with SP2. Should be fun half of them are 2000 Pro others are non SP2 XP pros(about 25 total). And Iam currently setting up our servers with Sever Enterprise 2003. Fun Fun!
i find it easier to just delete all the partitions during the install and it redoes the partitions and formatting for you.

Re:Computer geek needed
In the past month and a half, I had to reformat every hard drive in our lab (28 computers) and install Windows XP SP2 with Microsoft office and others. Thank goodness for me the motherboards/processors were the same on about 20 of the computers, Norton Ghost is awesome
I also had to re-network the room, Cat6e. 14 jacks, fun stuff. Still waiting for my punchboard to set it up though , so I have the Cat6e and cat5 all up in the roof.. looks purty

Re:Computer geek needed
---- i dont think any of our computers are the same they are all a little different. half are dells of every model you can think of and the others are system max's <--- worst computers ever built. now i either build them or buy dell servers, whichever is cheaper. sometimes dell's are cheaper than what i can build. i buy the servers since they use standard powersupplies and have good ventilation. they are missing soundcards but my users dont need sound and if they complain they can buy their own god damn soundcards, these computers are for work not for wacking off to ****. hard to believe how many users look at ****. they think i cant track that ----, wrong again.

hahaha yeah I hear ya
We ended up buying in bulk, so we got 20 motherboards/20procesors/40ramsticks/etc etc, so we got everything at a lower rate. Kind of nice actually, just ghost the hard drives instead of having to do other crap. All of ours has sound cards but one, and only one set of speakers, and the kid with the speakers blasts it all the time.. gets on my nerves.
