I think that is only on 92's though, or is it 92-95?

No kidding y49, it was made for fuel effeciency. Thing is, they're about 3-400 pounds less than the rest of the rex's, therefore being a superb engine-swapping project car.

wait a second here.. there are more things to buying a car then weight! You gotta factor in other things such as budget, future plans, availability.

1. Budget. the 88-91 civic/crx's are cheaper to purchase then the 92-95 civic's, BUT, if you plan on swapping to a bseries the 92-95 will be cheaper because you need less extra's to get the motor in. You can use Honda OEM parts to get a bseries into a 5g. But you need $400 mounts for a 4g, shift linkage has to be change. So what's your budget here..

2. Future Plans. Like I said, the engines are alot easier to swap into a 5g. Turbo might be easier due to battery placement, bumper room, lack of A/C w/ half sized rad.

3. Availability. Ok, this one is self explainatory

Basically it boils down to what YOU want. You can ask people all day long what THEY would do. Alot of people are telling you "CRX" "5g!" but there's no reason. Decide what you want out of the car and what you can spend.

Good luck!

Why would you have to change the shift linkage in a 4G hatch to put a B16 first gen in?
