carbon build up

Hi sorry about the off topic question but my girlfriend bought a 95 firebird just the v6 auto but we got it really cheap and it had carbon build up but iv been beating the ---- out o fit for about 7 mounths now and it got a bit better but it still idols bad and after its wormed up when im driving it feels like it pulsing if u now what i mean and some days it better than otheres anyway please i need help is it carbon that wont go away is is it somthing elts?
