Default Can my stock accord handle a turbo???

Hi, Chris here, I just got a 1992 Honda Accord LX (engine F22A1 2.2 L) and I am thinking of installing a turbo kit, most likely used cuz i'm on a budget. Now, every one says turbos are great, and i agree, but alot of people are telling me i have to rebuild my engine in order to install one. Engine rebuilds, unless u do it yur self, are an expensive and time consuming hassle, but is it really the only way to go about if I want to put a turbo on my car? I mean, theres gotta be something i can do that will allow me to install my turbo without draining my time and money on an engine rebuild!!! help me out guys!!!!
P.S. I dont plan on turning my car into a dragster, I just want a bit of boost! Are there turbo kits that will not destroy my stock engine, but still give some snort to my car? Thanx, Chris.

You wouldn't really need to build up the engine unless you were going over 12psi. For a daily driver i would do 8-10 and prolly 10-12 AT THE TRACK just make sure in either even you have GOOD fuel mangagement. The F series blocks can hold a good amount of boost due to the beautiful 8.8:1 C/R. If you want to go turbo, make sure you do a compression/leakdown test to make sure everything is running good with no leaks and whatnot. Happy boosting.
