Default bouncy tach

I just got my first rex, an 89 si and the tach just bounces around... anyone had this problem and/or fixed one?
It is quite annoying.

hey mate
yeah its either your ignitor in your distibutor or check the insulation on the two (blue i think) wires coming from your distibutor. hope this helps

ignitor coil, £30 here in the uk prob $50 where you are but im not sure. Think there made by NEC over here...

ignitor is like 80-100bucks. now this scares me, just did a swap and my tach dont work at all
