Best suspension/wheels for 93 civic...
I have a 93 civic dx sedan. currently it has the d15b7 and the standard trans. I am going to go with a d15b swap and am still undecided on the trans (suggestions). I'm looking for input as far as getting the best suspension system with best wheels (is bigger better, or 15" with good tires are better than 17") I need something that will handle corners at speed well and is good for cruising. i will be doing some type of full disc brake upgrade, but still undecided what exactly. i looked around for this info but i couldn't tie it together. thanks, jake

I'm running Tokico Illumina shocks (the 5 way adjustable ones) with Neuspeed race springs. I also have suspension techniques front and rear swaybars. For wheels I'm running Kosei K1 16". They rock because they cost like $90 a piece. My car handles like a dream, and the steering is completely neutral.

Thanks....
I was also looking at Tein (the super street set-up) and NEX. What do you think of these? Are they worth the money? I can pick up the Tein set for $700 and NEX for around $550. I think I will go with 16" wheels. Thanks again, Jake

The bigger the tires you go the more oversteer you'll need, but the better your wheels will grip the road. Its also a proven fact that the larger your wheels are will change you final drive ratio (not the gearing but the actual output) 13" tires have been found notably to be a perfect medium between performance/grip.
However, I am not sure what you want out of the car. I have 16" wheels, and I don't like them at all the car tugs with every ------- bump since I had them put on.
Sure they look good, and I can corner alot better... but I could have gotten the same quality tires on my factory rims

13"!?!? I think u mean 15" ?
Larger wheels dont change your final drive ratio if you re-size the tire accordingly.
for example.
stock tire is 185/60R14
195/50R15
205/40R16
will all be very close circumferences hense not changing final drive.
now if you stick 215/50R17 on there you will change it.
If you don't believe me. go here and plug in some numbers...
